Wow! 2024 - What an Olympics!

It was so good to see so much rowing – and all in one place on the Seine. Klaus was interviewed on BBC Radio Somerset about his own Olympic experiences in Tokyo in 1964 [listen here].

We had several Minervans on the scene in Paris, playing roving reporters and making sure we knew what we were missing! Sharon Alcock even snuck into the Olympians area to give Becky Wilde a big hug from all of us.
While most people were working (or at least pretending to work and definitely not watching the races with the sound off!) at their offices, other lucky Minervans met up at The Boathouse pub to watch two women’s finals: Becky Wilde and Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne Doubles and Helen Glover’s Four. ITV West Country were there to witness the cheers and screams of excitement as both achieved amazing medals.
